LYNNE TORGERSON WINS AT UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT

Lynne Torgerson wins at the United States Supreme Court.  The United States Supreme Court denied the State of Minnesota’s petition for a writ of certiorari, thus securing to Torgerson’s client his victory at the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.  This settles an approximately 2 1/2 year battle for Torgerson and her client, and will establish 6th Amendment law across the State of Minnesota and beyond, thus affecting thousands of cases.  In Bobadilla v. Carlson, it was established that the State cannot introduce the notorious Cornerhouse videotapes, because they are barred by the 6th Amendment to the United States Constitution’s Confrontation Clause.  Defendant’s are not to be convicted by the statements of an unsworn, absent witness.  Excellent result Ms. Torgerson.
